AION2 Class Overview | Beginner Guide

The beginning of battle lies in choosing a class. This world has eight classes with different roles and combat styles. Each class has a clear role, distinctive traits, and its own way of fighting. Choose the class that best suits your style and begin a new journey.

One. Introduction to the eight classes

1. Guardian

The team’s most important tank and currently the strongest tank class in the game.

Traits: Taunts, crowd control, high durability, and excellent defense
Pros: Absolutely indispensable in dungeons, with a powerful team role
Suitable for: Players who like being needed and enjoy tank characters

2. Sword Star

A melee damage dealer that also fills a secondary-tank role.

Features: Greatsword, slashes, charges, leaping slashes, gathering enemies, and knockdowns
Advantages: Lifesteal, damage reduction, PVP high burst damage, and strong Survival
Disadvantages: Its damage is slightly lower than that of other classes, and its equipment requirements are high
Recommendation: More suitable for players who spend heavily; not recommended for free-to-play or low-spending players

3. Assassin

Fills a role similar to an assassin.

Traits: Stealth, ambushes, backstabs, and instant kills
Advantages: Both PVP and PVE can deliver powerful burst damage
Disadvantages: Survival is poor, and the difficulty of play is high
Recommended: Whales and mechanically experienced players

4. Sorcerer Star

The Mage class is a strong role in many games.

Features: Powerful area damage, control skills, and ranged attacks
Advantages: Suitable for free-to-play, low-spending, and high-spending players alike

5. Archer Star

Ranged physical damage dealer, in other words, an archer.

Traits: Easy to kite, less demanding movement, simple to learn
Advantages: Very suitable for free-to-play and low-spending players
Weaknesses: Survival is relatively weak, and PVP is especially vulnerable when enemies get close

6. Spiritmaster

Summoner: Can summon four types of creatures—Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth.

Feature: Each summon has different skills
Advantages: Suitable for players who enjoy playing solo
Cons: More complex controls; requires managing summons

7. Cleric

An indispensable healer for the team.

Features: Healing, revival, and powerful support abilities
Advantages: Survival is excellent, team demand is high, and its damage is also respectable
